Story Time!

The farm Dave was raised on bred Mareep and Electrike to have the Plus and Minus abilities for easier herding. Dave, however, was not born with it and often got left behind. A young Electrike named Nathan would often come back for Dave and lead him back to the herd and gave him extra help in keeping up with the flock. Eventually the two bonded and became best friends in their youth and this is part of the reason he’s almost hardwired to follow and herd with people, especially other electric types and canines, even though he’s deathly afraid of canines now a days.
